Bunjil Community Project

Latest Update - January 2011

It has been a long and difficult journey to begin this project named Bunjil.  At times I have wanted to throw in the towel, give up and forget the dream of building a sustainable community.  But alas, my heart is deely connected to this project and the possibilities it provides.

As a new year begins, the year of the Hare, it is time to take a different tack and open the project to the world for their support.  It is a critical time now in the lifeline of Bunjil and a greater level of support is required to manifest our shared dreaming.

We have recently completed over 10 years extensive worldwide research to find the best working models of sustainable projects.  This has taken us through Spain, Italy, Holland, UK, USA and beyond.  In this adventure we have uncovered some of the most innovative and successful tools and collective wisdom in how to build truly sustainable and resilient communities.  This has been an incredible experience and given us amazing inspiration for the way forward.

Bunjil is indeed a unique project.  It has been established as a not for profit organisation that is directed by a small leadership group and supported by the community members.

We welcome your input and contribution from a wide range of people, from farmers to accountants, each person can make a special contribution in the creation of this amazing project!
